www.350.org: Vigil on Saturday, Dec 12, 2009

350.org is an international campaign dedicated to building a movement to unite the world around solutions to the climate crisis–the solutions that science and justice demand. Scientists say that 350 parts per million CO2 in the atmosphere is the safe limit for humanity. We are at 387 ppm CO2 now. How do we get back there again?

Please join us for 1 minute of silent meditation in support of global awareness of the climate crisis:

Date: Saturday, December 12, 2009
Time:
3:30-4:30 pm (there will be 1 minute of silence at 3:50 pm)
Where: Just south of the Santa Monica pier (the end of Route 66) on the sand by the water
Why: to unite the world around solutions to the climate crisis
